Iran condemn G7 Leaders Statement
Iran’s Foreign Affairs spokesperson Ismaeil Baqaie said that the G7 Leaders’ statement has revealingly disregarded Israel’s blatant aggression against Iran, unlawfully attacking their peaceful nuclear infrastructure as well the targeting of residential areas killing their citizens.
“Member States of G7, in particular the three permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) must shoulder their legal and moral responsibility towards an egregious act of aggression against a UN memer. They have to call a spade a spade. Israel’s war of aggression on Iran is a detrimental blow to the UN Charter and Charter-based international law.”
Baqaie said that Israel has launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran and attacked Iran’s nuclear sites in violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter and in defiance of prohibition of use/threat of force against peaceful nuclear facilities.
“The path to regional stability requires an immediate end to Israel’s aggression and accountability for its violations of international law, the G7 must abandon its one-sided rhetoric and address the real source of escalation: Israel’s AGGRESSION.”
Israel – Iran war intensify as Iran seek Diplomatic resolution
Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran does not seek to expand the war unless forced to.
“We never wanted this war and were engaged in diplomacy regarding our nuclear program. But this aggression was imposed on us.”
Araghci said that Iran’s defense is entirely legitimate and resolute, t is a response to aggression and if the aggression stops, naturally, Iran’ reactions will also cease.
“We were supposed to hold the sixth round of nuclear talks in Muscat. As I have repeatedly stated, we are confident in the peaceful nature of our nuclear program and have no issue demonstrating this to the world, as we did in the 2015 nuclear agreement.”
“We are ready for any agreement aimed at ensuring Iran does not pursue nuclear weapons; as this is our own doctrine, rooted in our belief in the prohibition and illegitimacy of nuclear weapons. However, if the goal of an agreement is to deprive Iran of its nuclear rights, naturally, we cannot accept such a deal.”
Israel Minister of Foreign Affairs Sa’ar’s released a statement saying that they are also pursuing diplomatic campaign alongside their military operation.
“We are initiating and are proactive in the diplomatic arena just like in the military one, on the diplomatic front, the Iranian side has demonstrated, and continues to demonstrate, intense diplomatic activity. So far all of its moves have been blocked.”
“They initiated an emergency session at the UN Security Council, which took place at the end of the week, immediately after the beginning of the operation.”
